Hi, my name is Tang. I am the owner of Jungle Gym Pattaya. I used to gain weight, around 4-5kg in merely 4-5 days. I felt like giving up on trying to lose weight. In fact, I didn’t like exercise that much. When I was a kid, physical education was something that I couldn’t really achieve. Be it basketball, volleyball, or football. But with the weight gained, my clothes didn’t fit anymore. I couldn’t even wear the shorts that I used to wear, my thighs rubbed against each other. When I walked, my shorts got pulled up.

I had to do some workouts. But no matter how I tried, I still could not lose weight. I was merely trotting on the treadmill. I weighed myself every day like 3 times a day after meals. The more I weighed, the more I got stressed, ‘Why the number doesn’t come down?’. Eventually, I gave up doing exercise.

Then I started learning boxing. It’s an activity that does not require a companion. Because sometimes my friends don’t want to join boxing with me. Even if I find a program to exercise by myself, I was not serious enough to finish it. Then I started to learn boxing. After that, I started to like it. And later I attended the gym. There was a CrossFit-style class opened there. So, I tried that out. Oh wow!! It’s so much fun! Yes!

At first, I couldn’t keep up. I was very tired. It seemed like I wouldn’t make it. But I set goals for myself. “My postures must be right first, it’s okay to keep up with a slow pace.” After I got the postures right, then I speeded up. As soon as I could keep up, I continued to add more weight, increasing the difficulty. I started to be addicted to workouts. I started to be proud of my body.

I want to tell everyone, especially those who are just starting to exercise.Don’t focus on the weight just yet. You should just focus on the workouts.Try challenging yourself. “Did you do the right postures today?” “How many times did you practice?” Then try again tomorrow and the postures must be better and faster than yesterday. When we can do it, we will start to have fun. Make exercise a part of your everyday life.

We will be able to continue and keep up until, eventually, we see the change in ourselves. I hope that our workout programs encourage everyone to have fun and start loving exercise like I do! Let’s be proud of our bodies and know that we can go beyond what we think we can.
